About Studio Engravings

Studio Engravings began with a simple belief: the marks a person leaves behind — a fingerprint, a line of handwriting, a paw print — deserve to be kept somewhere they can be touched, not just remembered. From our studio in a small Sierra Nevada mountain town, we engrave those marks into sterling silver and 14K gold filled keepsakes, one piece at a time.

Every necklace we make starts with something real: the fingerprint of someone you love, a signature from an old card or letter, a child's footprint from the day they arrived, or the nose print of a dog who was family. You send us the image, and we engrave it faithfully — not a font that looks like handwriting, but the actual handwriting; not a generic print, but the one that belonged to them.

We are the family behind Chapman Jewelry, and we have been handcrafting jewelry since 1982. Studio Engravings is where we do our most personal work — memorial pieces, keepsakes for new parents, remembrances of pets, and gifts that carry a story only one family knows.
